1. Hundreds of vehicles circulating on National Highway 1A were stranded on Satruday as a small bridge named Cay Da collapsed in south central Ninh Thuan Province.

2. Two foreigners were deported back to Turkey and Iran as their countries of origin last Friday for acts of theft vhile in Vietnam  as tourists. Since October last year, up to 11 foreigners have been deported for  the same wrongdoings.

3. Kien Giang Province have just arrested a 31-year-old woman for trafficking 15 women from the Mekong Delta region abroad to work as prostitutes.

4. The Ministry of Health yesterday reported that bird flu killed a man from Cam Khe District in northern  Phu Tho Province after his sample tested positive to the H5N1 virus. The 23-year-old  man was rushed last Tuesday to Hanoi-based Tropical Disease Institute and died yesterday.

5. A Vietnamese fishing boat coded BTh 89031 has been detained in Malaysia  since January 15, and the Binh Thuan-registered  boat is said to be fishing in the waters around Vietnam's Con Dao Islands when it was captured.
